Truck Focus Podcast - Ep#49 - Shawn Mengel - Truly a Family Mission

Friends in the Industry - I believe one of the most important actions I can take on a daily basis, is to passionately express gratitude for my family and remind them just how much they mean to me at any opportunity.

I also appreciate connecting with others that feel the way same about their families, which is why I am super excited about today's episode. Today, I interview over the road professional Shawn Mengel. Our interview highlights Shawn’s journey as a professional driver and shares the importance of family as he shares some of the challenges his family has gone through over the last couple of years.

I really value Shawn’s passion as a family man, and I respect the fact that he continues to lead his life in such a way that his kids and wife can be proud of, regardless of the adversity they go through. During our episode, Shawn shares about the journey his son Easton has gone through, after a knee injury leads to a CRPS diagnosis, which is extremely painful. Socks for Smiles was created, as it was a way to help put a smile on Easton's face. Thankfully, Easton is able to smile a whole lot more now, and we hope that his healing continues to go well. I encourage you to check out Socks for Smiles, to see some of the amazing work that went into helping Easton and his family out.

Shawn, I really appreciate you joining the podcast today, thank you.
